Founder of The Fibromyalgia Clinic and creator of the Fibromyalgia Protocol. Over 20 years helping people with chronic pain and complex health conditions.

“My journey into healthcare didn’t begin as a practitioner. It began as a patient.”
At the age of fifteen, Jonathan developed sciatic pain whilst training for sport. Like most people, I started with my GP. I was prescribed medication. When that didn’t solve the problem, I went back and was prescribed more medication. When that didn’t work, I was referred for physiotherapy. When physiotherapy failed, I went back again.
Over the following years I worked my way through almost every approach available. Medical doctors. Medication. Physiotherapy. A Harley Street consultant. Osteopathy. Sports rehabilitation. Massage therapy. Acupuncture. Chiropractic care. None of them gave me my life back.
Every time I was hopeful. Every time I believed this might finally be the answer. And every time I was disappointed. Eventually I reached a point where I genuinely believed I would have to spend the rest of my life living with the problem.
While living abroad, I met a practitioner who approached health very differently. I remember saying to him:
“I don’t believe you can fix this. Nobody has been able to help me. But if you can reduce the pain a little, I’d be grateful.”
Six weeks later I was pain free. For the first time in years, I had my life back.
That experience changed the course of my life forever. Not simply because my pain disappeared, but because it left me with a question I couldn’t stop thinking about: why do some people recover when others don’t? I dedicated the next twenty years of my life to finding the answer.
The biggest problem wasn’t that healthcare professionals didn’t care. Most cared deeply. The problem was that almost everyone was focused on managing symptoms rather than understanding why the body had stopped functioning properly in the first place.
The more I studied, the more I realised that people with the same diagnosis often had very different underlying reasons for their symptoms. And yet they were frequently being treated as though they were all the same.
Over the years I became increasingly frustrated with the inconsistent results produced by both conventional and alternative approaches. I knew there had to be a better way. That search eventually led to the development of The Fibromyalgia Protocol.
My work is focused on helping people who feel like they’ve run out of options. People who have tried everything. People who have been told they’ll simply have to learn to live with their condition. People who have started to lose hope.
Because I know exactly what that feels like. I spent ten years there myself.
Real testimonials from real patients. No stock photos, no staged reviews.

What qualifications does Jonathan Gleed have?
Jonathan’s qualifications include a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa, USA, and a Master of Chiropractic (MChiro) from McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire, UK. He has also completed extensive postgraduate training across more than two decades of clinical work.
Why did Jonathan stop practising as a chiropractor?
He became frustrated with inconsistent and often average results. Some patients did very well, but many did not reach the level of recovery he believed was possible. That led to years of study and clinical development, and eventually to The Health Advantage Method and the Fibromyalgia Protocol. His focus today is on helping the body function and heal more effectively, rather than treating a diagnosis or chasing symptoms.
What is the Fibromyalgia Protocol?
It is a four-week, eight-visit, practitioner-led programme designed to help restore the body’s natural ability to heal and recover. Rather than managing symptoms one by one, the aim is to improve the body’s overall healing function so it can begin repairing and regulating itself more effectively.
Why focus on the body’s ability to heal rather than individual symptoms?
Because symptoms are often the result of a deeper underlying problem. We believe all healing is performed by the body itself. If that ability is compromised, symptoms can persist despite many treatments. When the body begins functioning better, many symptoms often improve as a consequence.
What happens during the initial assessment?
The initial assessment is a 30-minute consultation to determine whether you are a suitable candidate for the protocol. We discuss your health history, current symptoms, previous treatments and health goals, and carry out a clinical examination. If we believe the protocol is appropriate, we explain exactly how it works and give you the opportunity to begin.
How long does the protocol last?
Four weeks, with eight visits in total, typically two visits per week. This schedule lets us monitor your progress closely and make sure you get the full benefit of the programme.
How much does the protocol cost?
The Fibromyalgia Protocol costs £480, which includes all eight visits over the four weeks. There are no hidden fees or additional charges during the protocol period.
Am I locked into a long-term contract?
No. The protocol is a four-week programme. At the end of the four weeks you are under no obligation to continue. If further care is recommended, your options are explained clearly and you decide what is right for you.
Do I need a formal diagnosis of fibromyalgia?
No. Many people who attend have been formally diagnosed, but a diagnosis is not always necessary. The initial assessment is designed to determine whether the protocol may be appropriate for your situation.
Can I continue my medication while doing the protocol?
Yes. You should continue any prescribed medication exactly as directed by your medical doctor unless they advise otherwise. The protocol does not require you to stop any medication.
What do I need to do during the protocol?
We recommend focusing on four simple foundations: staying well hydrated, eating clean and nourishing food, getting adequate physical rest, and getting adequate mental and emotional rest. Healing requires resources, and these basics support the work being done.
What results can I expect?
Every person is different and results vary. Some notice changes quickly, others improve more gradually. For this reason we never guarantee specific outcomes. Our goal is to give your body the best possible opportunity to heal and recover more effectively.
The purpose of the Initial Assessment isn’t to sell you care. It’s to answer two simple questions: what is causing your symptoms, and can The Fibromyalgia Protocol help? If we don’t believe we can help, we’ll tell you.
